“Baltimore Sounds”

Dryed Ice was started in 1968 by Tony Montone & Don Rogers a spin off of Bobby J & the Generations. The group of musicians that made up the band in the beginning was: Tony Montone, Don Rogers, Dave Fultz, Robbie Smith, and John Schafer.

Jere Stermer contacted me a few years ago and provided a number of great photos of the band. Also, Jere and I have been playing again, jamming mostly, and have played several gigs out . . . it felt really good playing again . . . what were those lyrics again . . . ? . . . what key was that in?

I presently play in two bands “The Retro-Rockets” & “The Great Escape” music is fun again, I certainly don’t do it for the money, even through every little bit helps in today economy.

I have fun again playing the songs from the past.

I always considered the band to have two time periods. The John Schafer lead vocalist period & the Carey Ziegler lead vocalist period.
